Sin is the issue. It's always been the issue. We blame shift, we say its demons, culture, environment, and so on. The issue is YOU and the sooner you realize this the better. You cannot deliver yourself from sin you need a deliverer, and that deliverer is Jesus Christ. He sets you free, he changes your heart. But sin still wages war against us. Sin tugs at our desires and it is only when we recognize this and turn to Jesus Christ, to His Word, to fellowship, to repentance can we have true victory. We must desire things that are greater than our sin. That is why we must be reminded of the cross, grace and mercy. That is why we need to be in churches that preach Christ, who presents the gospel every week and brings us back to Jesus--because he is the only one who can free us.
